Seven festivals join improvfestivals.org

Seven festivals joined improvfestivals.org over the past two weeks, from Poland to Australia. Two returning festivals also posted new editions, and two more have submission deadlines at the end of July.

New festivals on the site

• Improdrom (Bydgoszcz, Poland) holds its 10th edition September 10-13, 2026, an international festival of improv theatres.
• Naked Stage (Ljubljana, Slovenia), the biennial international improv theatre festival also known as Goli oder, runs October 21-25, 2026.
• Scary Strangers Comedy Festival (Wentworth Falls, NSW, Australia) holds its first edition October 15-18, 2026.
• The BIG IF (Barcelona, Spain), Barcelona Improv Group's international English-language improv festival, most recently ran November 7-10, 2025.
• Festival SUBITO (Brest, France) presents its improv theatre program April 10-11, 2026.
• ESPONTÂNEO (Sintra, Portugal), an international theatre-improv festival, most recently ran February 27 to March 2, 2025.
• TÖRN Improfestival (Hamburg, Germany) returns March 11-14, 2027.

Festival updates

• Floodwater Comedy Festival (Iowa City, Iowa) has set its next edition for October 16-17, 2026, with submissions open through August 3.
• The Liverpool Improvisation Festival page now looks ahead to its 2027 edition, May 6-9, with submissions opening August 1.
