Festival SUBITO is a French-language improv theatre festival in Brest, Brittany, produced by the local company Impro Infini. Its 2026 edition runs April 10-11 at Le Mac Orlan, with two evenings of four original improvised shows that pair the company's comedians and musicians with invited francophone guest performers. The 2026 program includes pieces built around themes and community voices, such as "Vivant! -IA," which improvises around artificial intelligence alongside an ethics-of-AI lecturer, and "Ce qui nous lie," created from testimonies gathered from Brest residents.
The festival is the headline event of a wider SUBITO season that also features Mondial d'Impro, a competitive "catch impro" format in which two trios of improvisers face off before a referee on audience suggestions. The 2026 Mondial d'Impro plays in mid-February in nearby Guipavas and Plougastel, a few weeks ahead of the Brest festival.
The festival runs improv workshops (stages) alongside its performances, listed on the festival's website.
