Overview
Third Coast Improv Fest (TCIF) is Nashville's annual improv festival, produced by Third Coast Comedy Club in Marathon Village. The 2026 edition runs November 4-8 and marks the festival's 10-year milestone. For 2026 the festival expands across two venues, Third Coast Comedy Club and The Loft at Third Coast, both inside the historic Marathon Village building in downtown Nashville. Recent years have drawn around 50 troupes and 200+ improvisers, with programming that balances visiting acts from Chicago, New York, and other comedy hubs against Nashville's own improv community. The festival is strictly improv-focused and does not program stand-up or sketch.
The 2025 Friday-night headliner was 2 Square featuring John Lutz (30 Rock, SNL, Late Night with Seth Meyers) and Peter Grosz (Veep, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me), with a separate Saturday headliner.

Submissions for TCIF 2026 are open, with registration closing July 31, 2026. Troupes apply through the registration link on the official site.
