New South Comedy Festival

Overview

The New South Comedy Festival is a multi-format comedy festival held each November in downtown Greenville, SC, produced by Alchemy Comedy Theater. Billed as the Southeast's longest-running comedy festival, it brings hundreds of stand-up, improv, sketch, and variety acts from across North America to Greenville for a week of shows and workshops.

Past guest performers have included North Coast, Magnet Tourco, Jill Bernard (Drum Machine), BASSPROV, Craig and Carla Cackowski, and many others. Workshop instructors have come from iO, UCB, Magnet Theatre, The Pack, Theatre 99, Dad's Garage, and HUGE Theater.

Submissions

Submissions for 2026 closed June 30. Accepted acts pay no performer fee and receive a free catered Saturday lunch, access to comedy jams and after parties, and workshop discounts.
